Did you know?

> Radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer.
> Radon is a radioactive gas.
> Any home can have radon.
> There is no such thing in Illinois or Wisconsin as "we don't have radon in this area".

Based on information contained in the National Academy of Sciences report, The Health Effects of Exposure to Indoor Radon, radon is estimated to cause between 15,000 and 22,000 lung cancer deaths per year. Data on (non-radon) causes of death are from Injury Facts, 1999 Edition, National Safety Council, Itasca, IL.

Inside our web site you will find EPA and Illinois radon information as well as our own insight from thousands of successful radon mitigation systems.  Pictures of testing devices, radon reduction systems and our Virtual House - Photos where you can click on the area of the mitigation system you want to see.  You will probably find more information than you're looking for, so we broke it down into easy to find sections and you can return to this page at anytime just by clicking on our logo at the bottom of each page.

EPA Logo Since the close of EPA's National Radon Proficiency Program (RPP) in 1998, there have been a number of requests that EPA offer some form of recognition of non-Federal radon proficiency programs. Need further information on EPA National Radon Proficiency Programs? Click here.
